The Country Recording Artist Performs At Tips For Tuscaloosa
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (June 26, 2015) – No stranger to philanthropy (she started her own non-profit, Macy’s Toy Box, when she was just seven), Kent Wells Productions recording artist Macy Martin made the trip to Tuscaloosa Wednesday night to headline Tips for Tuscaloosa, a monthly event held to raise funds for local non-profits. Martin was also joined by veteran writer Tommy Barnes (Tim McGraw’s Indian Outlaw).
“Giving back is a huge part of what I do,” said Martin. “My hope is that, over time, my music career can grow an even greater platform from which to speak out for those causes that need our love and support.”
Funds raised for this month’s Tips for Tuscaloosa event went to local charity Ainsley’s Angels of America, which promotes inclusion of those with special needs in endurance events, as well as educates the public on America’s special needs community and the importance of their inclusion in all aspects of life. Macy’s Toy Box raises funds and collects toys for underprivileged children year-round.
Martin’s latest single, Back to Reality – the first off new album Find My Melody, hit #64 on this week’s MusicRow Country Breakout chart.
